Photographing the night sky requires some equipment, some of the gear I use is illustrated here. You can start off with something as simple as a camera on a tripod. For the adventurous types, there literally doesn't appear to be an upper limit on how much you can spend on this hobby!
Once you have some equipment, knowing what to do with it doesn't hurt. The Internet is a fabulous resource for this, loaded with tutorials and how-to's on all types of astrophotography. I will not repeat them here, but have written a couple of articles that may be of interest to a few. They cover more specialized topics and can be seen here.
Thanks again for stopping by! Feel free to poke around for a while. I will change the pictures from time to time as new ones get taken. Sometimes this can be a while as we seem to swing from a frozen wasteland to the land of the midnight sun! There is a brief window between these extremes that allows me to get out and shoot new pictures.
