Cygnus Bubble HaRGB

HaRGB Cropped Field of View - Full Resolution (1.15 arc-second / pixed)

Description

This "Soap Bubble " spherical shape planetary nebula in the Cygnus region was first recognized on July 6, 2008 by Dave Jurasevich. It has since been designated as PN G75.5+1.7. This nebula is approximately 5 light-years across at a distance of approximatley 4000 light-years.

The above image is the result of 8 hours of H-Alpha and 5 hours of RGB imaging aimed at capturing the RGB and H-Alpha emission light of this nebula. H-Alpha data was added to the luminance channel to make the Bubble visible as it is extremely faint and has very little dynamic range.
