Description

This emission nebula is located in Cygnus as part of the IC1318 complex approximately 5500 light years away. IC1318b (lower left) and IC1318c (upper right) form together what is informally known as the "Butterfly Nebula".

The above image is a 3-panel mosaic result of a total of 15 hours of H-Alpha imaging aimed at capturing the emission light of this nebula.
