Description

This emission and reflection nebula is the remnant of a supernova explosion in Cygnus. It's dimension is roughly 25x16 light-years. For a more detailed description, see Rob Gendler's description of the Crescent nebula.

  • Camera: SBIG ST-10XME
  • Optics: Vixen R200SS/Paracorr - 8" f/4.6 Newtonian
  • Filter: AstroDon 6nm H-alpha filter
  • Exposure: 9 x 10 minutes at -15C

  • ImagesPlus: DDP, high-frequency noise reduction
