Day Lily (Hemerocallis fulva) - a member of the Lily Family

Day Lily

A native of Eurasia but introduced to North America, this pretty flower has escaped the garden confines and spread widely.
A hybrid, it does not reproduce via seeds but rather spreads via the root system. Every part of the flower is edible.
