- Description: Double star Winnecke 4 in Ursa Major. The least impressive of
the Messier Objects - a double star in Ursa Major. There are two galaxies to the left and below
M40 - NGC4290 (mag. 12.7) and NGC4284 at magnitude 14.3. Otherwise not a lot to see in this
immediate area.
