- Description: M43 (NGC1982) - Detached portion of the Orion Nebula. M43 is the pinkish "bloated comma" part of M42
at the top of the image. A glorious visual target in binoculars and up, observers in large telescopes often report seeing
colour in M42 and M43. Image is a bit soft as M42/3 were still close to the ground when the shot was taken.
- Camera: SBIG ST-10XME with AstroDon RGB filters at -10C
- Scope: TMB175 7" f8 Refractor
- Exposure: 15 x 2 Minutes per colour
