- Description: NGC404 - Galaxy in Andromeda. The bright thing with diffraction spikes
running through it is a star - 2nd magnitude Beta Andromeda. NGC404 is the dim thing beside it at
about 7 o'clock. Beta Andromeda makes this a more difficult observation if there is any haze in
the air as there is a rather large brightness difference. Magnitude 11.2, about 3.4 arc minutes
in diameter.
