  • Description: From the second Sharpless catalogue, Sh2-82 is a compact, round emission nebula about 9 arc minutes across. Located a couple of degrees away from the Coathanger Cluster in Vulpecula. It also contains a reflection or blue component as well but that is filtered out in this deep red image. Also known as the "Little Trifid Nebula" and the "Little Cocoon Nebula".
