IC2177 - the Seagull Nebula
  • Description: IC2177 in southern Monoceros in the winter sky. A fairly large but faint nebula. To the left of The Seagull is a nice open cluster, NGC2353. 30 stars in an area 1/3 the size of the moon. In the lower right part of the frame is open cluster NGC2345, fainter but 70 stars in about 1/4 the size of the full moon.
