  • Description: Elliptical galaxy in Andromeda, located below Messier 31 in this shot. The galaxy is elongated, oriented 12 o'clock to 6 o'clock. Visible in this deeper shot is a faint outer halo, oriented 2 o'clock to 8 o'clock. Class of galaxy is e5 peculiar, shining at magnitude 8.9, it is 22 x 11 arc minutes in size. Also known as NGC205.
