NGC5846 - Galaxy in Virgo
  • Description: A bright elliptical galaxy in Virgo. 5846 is the round galaxy just left of centre. Magnitude 10, 3.5 x 3.5 arc minutes in size. To its right is barred spiral NGC5850, a bit fainter at magnitude 10.7, larger at 4.6 x 4.1 arc minutes. In the lower left corner is edge-on spiral NGC5838, magnitude 11.9 and 4.1 x 1.4 arc minutes in size.
